BIOGRAPHY

Dan Holihan is a semi professional racer with family connections steeped in motorsport.
Dan grew up watching his stepfather Geoff Morgan race as a 4-time Australian Champion in Porsche Cup & Nations Cup (GT Championship) along with Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.
By the age of 13, Dan had his first go of a go-kart in Junior National Light around Eastern Creek Raceway (now his home go-kart track) and he has loved it ever since.
Daniel has also worked at race teams such as PR Tech Racing who won the GT Championship with David Wall who now races V8 Supercars and has also done some work experience for the V8 Supercar team, Ford Performance Racing.
By the age of 17 Daniel began to win a lot of local Clubman Light kart races on club days around New South Wales. He also competed in every single level of karting in Australia starting from Club Days then onto State Championships, moving onto National Championships and finally racing in the Confederation of International Karting (Australian CIK Stars of Karting Series).
Daniel raced for the PKW Pro Race Team, a non-factory backed karting team, in CIK Stars of Karting in 2011. He then moved to the Kosmic Racing Australia in 2012, he raced for both teams in the class KF1 Pro Light.
Daniel has been mentored by a number of prominent racers over the years including former Karting & Car Racing Champions such as Kristian Lindbom, Troy Hunt, Barton Mawer and Supercar co-driver Warren Luff and of course his step father Geoff Morgan.
In 2014, he returned to racing after a break from competition (where he tried his hand in Speedway in Legend Cars), before racing for the twelve-time NSW Formula Ford State Championship winning team Anglo Australian Motorsport aboard a Mygale in both the Kent1600 and Duratec class.
Over the years since racing in Formula Ford, Dan has finished runner in the National 1600 Series in 2016, along with having multiple state championship outright finishes across New South Wales and Victorian Championships.
Dan Holihan has also won the HSRCA NSW State Fc Champion in Historic Formula Ford 1600 back in 2017 and is a season campaigner in all three formula ford categories. Known for having similar traits to Formula 1 Star Kimi Raikkonen with his laid back approach towards racing at the track.
He has qualifications in both radio, media and television. He has even appeared on the TV show Inside Speed as a guest host of the show back in 2010.
Dan loves co-commenting at motorsport events when he’s not racing. Off track he also runs a successful racing merchandise brand named Traxstar Race Wear.
Dan has attracted various sponsors over the past years due to his commitment with his fans, on & off the track sponsors, and he is also connected to several not-for-profits, such as Recognise, WGP (Wheelchair Grand Prix) and many more.
